EZCam and/or MasterCam for automatic part programming of vertical machining center 

Conversion of standard industry and government formats to geometry for tool path programming, including ASCII, CADL, DXF, IGES, NFL, STL, SAT, VDA, and GEO files

 

Vertical Machining Center

3-axis CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) vertical machining center with multiple tooling capacity for 2D and 3D contours and automatic multiple part machining (HAAS VF2 20 HP Vector Drive)

Overall machining range: X-axis 30", Y-axis 16", and Z-axis 20"

 

Milling

Two axis milling machines for 2D contouring

Milling machines feature vertical and horizontal design, dividing and rotation operations, and digital readouts

 

Turning

Standard engine lathes with digital readouts for up to 15-inch diameter and 80-inch length

Taper turning and boring

Inch, metric and tapered thread cutting

 

Welding, Brazing and Soldering

Electric arc welding

Tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding for aluminum, stainless steel and other exotic materials

Acetylene brazing and soldering

 

Additional Capabilities

Sandblasting

Band saw and chop saw cutting

Sheet metal fabrication (shear, brake, and roll)

 

Student Training

Basic short course student training (30 contact hours)

Shop safety, mechanical drawing, turning, boring, threading, milling, and CNC machining

Hours of Operation:  - 6 AM- 4:30 PM Monday-Thursday

Rates - $53.50/hour
