Xiang Zhu

Biography

Xiang Zhu is a Assistant Professor of Statistics at Penn State.

Zhu received his PhD in Statistics from The University of Chicago in 2017. He received his BS in Statistics from Nankai University in 2012.

His research focuses on developing new statistical methodology to mine large-scale genetic and genomic data.

Zhu was a Stein Fellow at Stanford University in 2017-2020. He is also a biostatistician (without compensation) at U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System since 2018. He joined Penn State as a Assistant Professor of Statistics in 2020.
