About Me
My name is Courtney Patterson and I am from Weddington, NC. I graduated from the University of South Carolina with a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. I chose Penn State because of the program’s hands-on approach, well-rounded curriculum, and incredible facilities. The faculty and students were so welcoming during the interview weekend and made me feel immediately at home. Also, I was impressed by the research that students were involved in, and I knew I wanted to be a part of it. In my free time, I love hiking (honestly doing anything outdoors), cooking, exploring new places, and watching movies.
